It is April

It is month 4.  We have snow all month.  It is only day 2   Looking at forecast we have sunshine for the rest of the 10 days.  I hope that will be enough time to dry out the mud.  When this snow melts on all dirt mud is next.  As it melts we get streams all over.  That does make driving on this dirt driveway super difficult. There is no way around the deep streams we have to drive on. 

Mid-March

 It is the twelfth today. I am sitting inside a travel trailer, a metal box. I am listening to it raining pretty hard, and the wind is gusty. It sounds like we are in a washing machine.  The community is calling it a miracle March. We have had two other storms this month and there is an expectation of a storm or two. This is the wettest part of this year. There is a forecast of snow again, it might or might not.  When I wake up, I will know if it is snowing.    

2025 questions

I think I want to start postingbon Substack.  I am trying to figure out how to post here and there. 

I want to post pictures and write between them.  I see others doing that. I will try reposting from here to Subsack. I created a profile there but I probably need someoneto help me out. 

Foot prints from the last storm.  There is another storm coming tomorrow late, might be Thursday instead of Wednesday.  Only time will tell.

Back maybe

 I have joined and am watching people on Substack and have paid to watch folks there. I am watching and listening to Democrats who often annoy me. At the same time, I watch and listen to a Republican.  I also watch and listen to a  Libertarian who does long videos.  I don't like watching the 2-hour videos he does most days. He also does short ones that I watch. Many are reposts. These topics show the personality of this liberation posting.  I am registered as a No Party Preference. I hope that allows me to choose who I can vote for. I used to be in the Independent party.  Years ago, I could vote on a Democrat or Republican ballot. It appears that it is no longer allowed.  I  despise that I no longer get a chance for either party which sucks. Somehow now I only get a ballet that is for this party that I can not even find out about who I can vote for.       

December

 It is 10 days before Christmas.  Where has 2024 gone?  This month feels so short.  The school I teach at has a break from 12/23 through 1/2 then the kids have work assigned.  The students can work during the break. I will be working during this time.  I will take off on Christmas Eve and Date. I will also take off New Year's Eve and Date.  I am covering for a co-worker over those weeks.  It will be odd to be two teachers at one time.  It could be fun and overwhelming depending on if her students work and if mine are. This new year might be good.    Only time will tell.  I am over 2024 and ready for 2025 but I might say that when the next year comes well.  I had a party for the holidays today at the neighbor's.  It was fun but overwhelming at the same time.  So many people it was too much.  With too many conversations one could get lost.  This needs to become more consistent. 

Thanksgiving

Twas the night before Thanksgiving, when all through the house, No creature was stirring, not even a mouse.  Tomorrow is the day folks get together to stuff themselves.  How many and whose place are different?  It is a day to give thanks for everything the good Lord has blessed us.  

Annoyed

This Range of Light Monument is a problem.  It is in the Sierra National Forest between Yosemite and Kings Canyon. USFS is to govern it.  It is a huge area with many homes including ours.  Our plan is to build on the property we closed on with this Range of Light Monument, we likely will not be able to build on our land.  It also means likely we will have to get permits to "live" here. The problem is the details are missing but do know USFS doesn't have the people or money to hire more to keep the lands with trees spaced out with air between them.  Their lands burned fast and made the Creek fire larger than it should have because their land and BLM land were not taken care of to keep fires from expanding.   At this point, documents have been sent to the supervisors of all three counties involved.  Those letters want things to not change because the locals do better without help from agencies.  We do our best to clean up anything seen while hiking in the areas.  I have picked up trash and put out a fire near a lake that was not kept in rocks but water-logged wood. When a friend and I were stopping for lunch at that lake we used our empty water bottles and kept filling them at that lake emptying them on the fire until it stopped putting up heat. That is how responsible people act instead of saying it is someone else's job. I have heard that the current president could sign it into action before leaving office. If he does, I assume the new president could cancel it and reduce how much the government does. Time will tell what happens next but I know God is in control.  At this point, there is an election on Tuesday.  It appears we are voting for the best of the options.  Praying we could vote for Jesus instead of the folks on the ballot.
